Consciousness not only in the job-seeking: Selective waste collection in the HVG Job Fair
We intend to improve our results in spring 2012. Our common concern is to protect our environment, in order to fulfil this goal we rely on our visitors' and exhibitors' support as well.
Our results in Autumn 2011
We managed to collect 7,5 m3 (4 m3 paper, 3 m3 plastic and 0.5 m3 glass material) waste selectively. This amount is 75% of the entire rubbish of the event. Our partner, ZöldÖvezet Association managed the disposal of the remaining 3,5 m3 trash which could not manage to collect selectively.
Based on our results the ZöldÖvezet Association adjudged the selective waste collection on the Fair as a success.
| 2009 Spring | 2009 Autumn | 2010 Spring | 2010 Autumn | 2011 Spring | 2011 Autumn | |
| Amount of selectively collected rubbish | 7,5 m3 | 10 m3 | 7,25 m3 | 7,75 m3 | 7,3 m3 | 7,5 m3 |
| Can be recycling | 85% | 70% | 70% | 70% | 70% | 75% |

What does it mean?
Recycling used materials reduce the load of environment as in paper manufacturing 1 ton (approx. 10 m3) waste paper is equal to the material of 6 twenty-metre-high timber trees.
Recycling 1 m3 (approx. 30 kg) plastic means 1200 MJ energy savings compared to production using conventional energy sources.
In spite of utilization primary commodities recycling 1 ton (approx 6 m3) glass means about 14 000 MJ energy savings.
